Visit to HKMA Information Centre

In order to enhance the students’ understanding of “Economic and Financial Security” and “Money and Banking”, the Economics Department organized the visits to the HKMA Information Centre on 21 and 22 November 2023 for the S.5 Economics students. During the visits, students learnt about the currency history of Hong Kong, the linked exchange rate system, interesting facts about notes and coins, the difference between genuine and counterfeit banknotes, and the role of banks in the financial system. It was a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge and understand the subject content outside the classroom.
