Date: 23/03/2024
On 23 March 2024, our students visited the Hong Kong Central Library to attend the lecture titled "Hok Hoi Lectures on Chinese Wisdom and Life Pursuits". The theme of the lecture was calligraphy and the distinguished speaker for the event was Mr. LEE Yun Woon. Mr. Lee is an expert consultant in Chinese painting and calligraphy at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department Museum of Hong Kong. He also served as the former Head of the Department of Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. With a relaxed demeanor, Mr. Lee eloquently shared his personal journey of learning calligraphy, delving into its profound meaning and the joys experienced during the process of study. Moreover, he highlighted the wisdom in interpersonal relationships that can be applied in today's generation. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to visit the Rare Book Reading Room, Special Collections, and the Hong Kong Literature Room.
