Live drama “1842”

F.1 to F.5 students were shown a live drama “1842” on October 21. The story took place in a century-old herbal tea shop that has been handed down for five generations, witnessing 180 years of history through the Opium War, the Treaty of Nanjing, the cession of Hong Kong, and the return to the motherland in 1997. The producers of “1842” hope to provide a chance for audience to review and learn from the past and the present, to cultivate national self-confidence and pride with a positive attitude, as well as to move ahead on the road of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
