Young Astronaut Training Camp 2024
Date: 03/08/2024
Organized by the Hong Kong Space Museum and co-organized by the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre, the "Young Astronaut Training Camp 2024" selected 30 secondary students to participate in astronaut training courses in Beijing and Jiuquan during the summer. Our student, Cheng Tin Ho, stood out among many participants, earning the title of Outstanding Camper.
Cheng Tin Ho described his unforgettable experiences at the "Young Astronaut Training Camp 2024": "The camp allowed me to feel the allure of space exploration. For instance, during team missions, we had to collaboratively solve various challenges simulating space tasks. This not only tested our teamwork skills but also helped me meet like-minded friends. Each time we successfully tackled a challenge, the cheers and encouragement from my teammates made me feel the strength of our team.
Additionally, we had the privilege of visiting the Astronaut Center of China, where we experienced astronaut training firsthand, truly appreciating the challenges of becoming an astronaut. My heart was filled with a longing for space exploration. During our visit to the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, we even had the opportunity to observe the manned space launch site.
These activities not only broadened my knowledge and perspective but also inspired my dream of possibly becoming an astronaut. I hope future students can join this camp, as it is not only an opportunity to learn about space but also a platform to explore the unknown and forge genuine friendships."
